Christmas in our Hearts

Christmas is a celebration that we used to symbolize the birth of Jesus Christ. We celebrate Christmas in the month of December, in exact we celebrate it on December 25 all around the world. Many people from other countries come home to their families to celebrate Christmas with their family. Here in the Philippines we celebrate Christmas by preparing foods to eat with our relatives. Before Christmas we decorate our houses by putting Christmas lights, making up the Christmas tree and putting decorations on it. Children go to houses on the neighborhood and they sing Christmas songs.

In this year, we all know that it will be different on how we celebrate Christmas because of the pandemic. There are protocols we will follow to avoid the spread of the virus. Many OFW will not be able to celebrate Christmas with their family because they will not be able to go home cause by the protocols we shall follow. Even though there is pandemic, we will still celebrate Christmas by preparing meals we eat. Many children will not be able to perform caroling because of the virus. And in this pandemic, we will still celebrate a happy and joyful Christmas.

Let us make our pandemic life happy by celebrating Christmas with our family. We must always think positive, always pray for a healthy body and pray that the virus will end soon so that we can now do the things we didn’t do in the last few years. Happy holidays to all.

  2. Christmas really is the best holiday for many. The experiences we used to have during Christmas season before makes it extra special and to have those taken away from you is saddening. Despite that, I hope the celebration last year gave us all a light and hope for this pandemic we are presently in.
